  • Katherine Mouton - M.S. CCC-SLP+ +

    Katherine’s Graduate and post graduate experience includes an extensive background in working with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders for patients suffering from various conditions, injuries, and developmental delays. Her career began as a school district Speech-Language Pathologist and she has practiced additionally in outpatient clinics, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and skilled nursing. In 2011 Katherine began the process of opening Lifespan Assessment Speech Therapy Services to create an environment which would encourage a patient centered approach to intervention and rehabilitation. She believes that every individual is unique and deserving of the opportunity to achieve their highest potential.

    Katherine's Professional development includes qualifications as a certified Vital Stimulation provider, training in the implementation of Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS), and broad experience in dealing with AAC device vendors.

    Katherine has 10 years of clinical experience, is licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence as an active professional member of ASHA. In 2015, Katherine was honored to accept a seat on Lamar University’s Speech and Hearing Science Board of Advisors (SPHS-BOA ).

  • Caitlin "Cati" Carson - M.S. SLPCF+ +

    Cati is another native of Louisiana who has lived in Texas since 2013, when she relocated to join the LASTS team. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southeastern Louisiana University and continued on to obtain a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern University. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. Cati has also enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics since her high school days. She is dedicated to serving all individuals with communication needs, however feels a unique calling to serving those with Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She strives to remain current on the latest research development through being an active NSSLHA and ASHA member. Cati is licensed by the Texas Board of Examiner's for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and currently acts as Clinical Director for our clinic in The Woodlands, Texas.
  • Tina George - M.S. SLPCF+ +

    Tina is a native New Yorker who moved to Texas in January 2014 to pursue her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelors in Speech-Language pathology/Audiology from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY and obtained her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Tina was an active member of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing-Association, and is in the process of completing her Clinical Fellowship in pursuit of the Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Tina is a current member of ASHA and is licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology. Her goal is to provide a high quality of care to individuals with communication disorders to achieve individual independence. During her personal time, Tina enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
  • Karina Batiste - B.S. SLP-Assistant+ +

    Karina Batiste is a native of Port Arthur, Texas who graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in December of 2013. While at SFAS, her interests in Down Syndrome and Articulation Disorders took root and prompted her pursuit of a degree in Speech Pathology. Throughout her college career, Karina was an active member of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Dancers Against Cancer, an organization that raises money for cancer patients and cancer research. Karina is licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and moved to Houston, Texas in July 2014 to join the LASTS team. In her personal time, she enjoys painting, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
  • Shanice Brown - B.S. SLP-Assistant+ +

    Shanice Brown is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where she received her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Shanice moved frequently with her active duty Air Force family and observed the effect of deafness from a multicultural standpoint. As a result of her experiences, Shanice immersed herself into deaf culture and became fluent in American Sign Language. She is dedicated to serving individuals with communication deficits and has a passion to serve those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.Shanice maintains professional membership with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She is trained in the use of visual phonics, gestural communication, and behavioural management.

  • George Garcia - M.S. SLP-Assistant +

    George Garcia moved to Houston, Texas in early 2015 to join the LASTS team. He is a native of Mission, Texas who graduated from the University of Texas Pan American in 2010 with a Bachelors of Arts degree. George worked as an event photographer for several years, during which time his interest in autism and intellectual disorder's was piqued. He then decided to pursue a second degree at Utah State University. In December 2013, George graduated from USU with his Bachelors of Science in deaf education and communication disorders.

    George is currently licensed by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and actively pursues continuing education through ASHA and TSHA approved courses. In his personal time, George enjoys photography, movies, and spending quality time with friends.

  • Christopher Small +

    Chris is our Director of Operations who organizes staff operations, electronic documentation systems, and insurance contracts. He comes with 13 years of management experience in various fields including an 8 year run as an Operations Manager in Houston, Texas. Most notably, his experience includes piloting the growth of his previous company from 2 million, to over 10 million in revenue while maintaining excellent ratings in customer service. Chris now focuses his efforts on ensuring that accurate information is collected from your insurance company to guarantee that each patient receives services at the highest level of coverage possible. He is committed to our companies vision and when insurance carriers fail to meet the needs of the patient, Chris works diligently with his staff to arrange payment options that fit within your family's budget.
  • Gloria "Lizi" Pina +

    Gloria is our administrative Billing Manager, who started with LASTS in 2012 after obtaining her degree in medical billing. She is responsible for obtaining insurance verifications, filing insurance claims, and managing the billing office- which processes claims for all of our clinic locations. Gloria works with our Clinicians to ensure that we are coding our services appropriately to ensure that you or your loved ones obtain the maximum level of coverage possible. Gloria is often referred to by her nickname, Lizi, and is fluent in English and Spanish. She is a wife, mother to 5 children, and enjoys spending her free time traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
